On Thursday, November 10th, the Arts Ballroom will be hosting Roaring! A 1920’s Event. Noel Zayas Events will be producing the affair. Dalet Gallery is organizing the lavish, prohibition era social event, and is donating a portion of the proceeds to the Avenue of the Arts, the organization that aims to grow and develop South Broad St.
Roaring! will launch a series of fashion, lifestyle and art events for Old City based Dalet Gallery. Artistic Director Irena Gobernik says, “We chose the Arts Ballroom as our venue because of its energy and vibe- its rich history and its close proximity to the Avenue of the Arts.
The Arts Ballroom is the relatively new event space at 1324 Locust St., in the Arts Condominium, formerly the Sylvania Hotel. The space, which once served as ballroom and theater for the hotel, was completely redesigned over the past couple of years by Spector Design Company. And considering the building was built in the 1920’s and several of the details in the space reflect its Deco past, we couldn’t imagine a more appropriate location for this party.
The Roaring! event will come equipped with flappers, cabaret performance, and live music. General tickets for the event will cost $35 and will cover admission from 9PM to 2AM. This seems like a pretty neat event and what’s even better is that some of the proceeds are to Avenue of the Arts. They need the help! To buy tickets, click here.
