On the southwest corner of Broad & Somerset, pretty much between Temple University and Temple Hospital, sits a very cool building. A couple of years ago, it contained a kitchen supply store and looked pretty awful. More recently, Broad Street Beer Distributor opened here, and cleaned up the building some.

Clearly, the building wasn’t built for either kitchen supplies or a beer distributor. Does anyone out there have any insight into what used to be here? Is there any hope that the upper floors will be renovated some day, and perhaps used for housing?
