Back in May, we told you about a new froyo place opening on the corner of 20th & Brandywine, in a space previously inhabited by a little grocery store. At the time, we suggested that we were excited to try out some of their interesting product mix, which included cotton candy, smoothies, frozen yogurt, bubble tea, macaroons, coffee, and dog treats. But over the last few weeks, we’ve noticed that the place has not been open. And more recently, their signs have been covered and a zoning notice has appeared.

Current view

Does anyone know what happened to Momoyo? Did they crash and burn in just a few months? Did they run into some kind of permitting problem? Were there issues with the landlord?

Any insight from neighbors would be much appreciated.
