We all know that the Philadelphia Parking Authority is the most ruthless and tightly run governmental agency in the city (honestly, if SEPTA ran with the proficiency and exact timeliness of the meter maid who works our block, we’d actually get to work on time), but what we didn’t know is that they might also be the most conniving. Working on the suggestion of one of our readers, we found that the motorcycle parking spots in the 1900 block of Market Street are mislabeled and do not match up to the designated spots. Seen here in our tipster’s Droid video, you can see how the meter’s screen does not coincide with the labeling on the street.
So, what do we think? We’d like to say this is an honest mistake, but knowing that the PPA has even given to our dear, old innocent mom, we have our doubts. Either way, though, we hope that the PPA corrects this mistake and looks into rectifying any tickets issued.
Please keep the tips coming, Philly. We appreciate them.
