Last September, we told you about unclear plans for 1500 Sansom Street, formerly home of Roy’s Restaurant. We were in the area the other day, and realized that absolutely nothing has happened at this site (at least on the outside) in the last fifteen months.
The bricks below the windows were torn out all those months ago, and the replacement cinderblocks and plywood have remained in their place. This building, in a prominent location and in a position to host a successful business, continues to languish. Does anyone know what’s going on with this space?
Philly Weekly people, y’all work upstairs. Any ideas?
Update: Multiple commenters have clued us in that Ocean Prime is coming to this space, possibly in the summer of 2013. Remarkably, over six months after this news broke, there’s still apparently nothing happening at this building as of yet.
