It was a little more than a month ago that we told about plans from developer Turloque Hart to build three new homes on 17th Street between Titan and Latona, on a lot that recently looked like the Amazon.
In the time that’s passed since then, the project has moved along quickly, with all three homes having been framed out. That’s a pretty good pace.
As you can see in the photos above, there’s a vacant lot to the north and two to the south. We’re fairly certain that the northernmost lot was condemned for affordable housing last year, meaning it could be years before it’s developed. The southern lots are privately owned by non-profits, meaning the same could hold true. Still- three new homes replacing three vacant lots is definite progress in this developing neighborhood.
