Remember 1010 Tasker Street? About six months ago, when we brought this two-story home to your attention, it was on the market for $399K. The price recently came down to a more reasonable $339K, but that's not all that's changed.
We don't usually single out individual homes listed for sale, but this one offered something that you truly don't see every day. And by that we mean taxidermy. Lots of it.
Was the home priced a little bit on the high side? Yes. Is it likely that every potential buyer saw the collection of deer heads and couldn't focus on anything else in the house? Sure. Did the stuffed ram at the bottom of the stairs take the whole thing over the top? Absolutely.
It should come as no surprise that the realtors suggested a little redecorating. The current listing has some newer images that show that the taxidermy has been removed from the home.
Now it's just a boring South Philly house a block from Passyunk Avenue that's in need of some updating. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted.
If you're interested in the home, maybe the sellers will throw in the ram free of charge. Can't hurt to ask.
