Heading down 2nd Street the other day, we spotted construction activity at 622 N. 2nd St., long a vacant lot. A sign at the mixed-use building in progress tells us that the building will eventually be home to the Northern Liberties Veterinary Center.

Meanwhile, just down the street, the future flagship location for Penn Herb which has been under construction for a year already is finally rising above the fences.

The completion of both of these project, likely in the year to come, will represent nice additions to this block, and suggest that development in this neighborhood is still going very strong.
