A couple of months ago, we told you about The Cliff Townhomes, a seventeen home development at Leverington & Silverwood on the Manayunk-Roxborough border. In one of the photos of that project, you may have noticed additional homes being framed just down the street. And some info about those homes is what we bring you today.

From a distance

According to the Roxborough-Manayunk Patch, a vacant and blighted garage stood for years at 4570 Silverwood St. until the building was torn down to make way for the four new homes. Developers Moxie Brothers LLC met with the community last summer and received no opposition from the Manayunk Neighborhood Council. According to the Patch, the homes, designed by Harman Deutsch, will each have three bedrooms, three and a half bathrooms, and garages.

Looking at the comments section from the Patch story, it seems that some folks in the area are concerned that these new homes, along with the Cliff Townhomes, will ruin street parking in the neighborhood. Should we assume that they preferred the vacant land and the blighted garage?

Meanwhile, looking down the street in the final image above, please note that the second phase of the Cliffs Townhome project will eventually fill in the empty space next to the new homes. Which means that in the course of just a couple of years, this block will be getting over a dozen new residents. Which tells us that, (somewhat unreasonable) parking concerns aside, this area is really undergoing some exciting change. And the view across the street is pretty nice, to boot.
