It's been a year since work got started on the new Mormon Temple coming to the huge lot 17th and 18th, Vine and Wood Streets. Back then, all we saw were piles of girders at the site. As the time has passed, we knew that there was action on the site, but it was only in the last few months that we've been able to see anything above the fences surrounding it.

Peeking over the fence, we spied foundations which appear to be completed, and run a good few stories below grade. Certainly, we will see far more apparent progress at the site in 2014 than we did in 2013. But it shouldn't be until 2015 that it looks like this:
