Last spring, we told you that the former auto supply store at Girard & Marlborough had been sold. This building had lovely bones, but its very active commercial use over the years resulted in a painted facade and plywood-covered window openings. Our assumption when the building was sold was that some kind of mixed-use repurposing would be in its future. And it turns out we were correct.
The paint has been power washed off the facade and new windows have been installed. Some remnants still remain of the old commercial use, but it seems very likely that those will soon disappear. According to permits that have been pulled, there will be two apartments upstairs with a commercial space on the first floor. What do people want to see here?
