Months ago, we gave you the heads up that Girard Avenue in Brewerytown would soon be getting a new addition in the form of a second location from the folks who own Rybread. Well, last week, according to Foobooz, the new shop, dubbed Rybrew, opened its doors at 2816 W. Girard Ave., a long-vacant storefront that was apparently once home to a toy store.

We peeked in the new spot a couple of days ago, and found the space to be inviting and the beer selection to be encouraging. We hope that these guys tear it up on Girard Avenue, and that they’re appropriately embraced by the neighborhood. And if we may recommend the Hollywood sandwich? Trust us, you won’t regret it.
