The extra-wide homes for sale (Coldwell Banker) on 13th Street have everything you would expect from a $649,900 price tag: one-car deeded indoor parking (the only place the PPA can’t find you), 660-square-foot roof deck, breakfast bar, walk-in closets and walk-in shower. In real estate, we always see the phrase natural light in listings, but these homes actually do feature the most windows we’ve ever seen in a listing (unless the photos were just taken on a very, very bright Philadelphia day, if those even exist anymore), including two key windows on either side of the kitchen range (who really wants to look at cabinets) and windows in both showers. Other things the people behind 629-31 S. 13th Street did right (come on developers, it’s not that hard; let’s think beyond “granite counters” as a feature): a kitchen island with extra sink, built-in visual intercom security system, a separate masculine slate-tile bathroom for the men and not-perfectly square bedrooms that leave cozy nooks for chairs and dirty laundry, err, plants. —-Caitlin Connors
