We’ve wondered for years about 900-904 S. 11th St., a vacant lot on the southwest corner of 11th and Christian Sts., across the street from an auto shop we used once or twice. A gas station apparently once operated at this location, but we sure don’t remember that far back.

The parcel is fairly large- it’s 51’x62′ of prime real estate that could easily accommodate three new construction town homes that would probably sell for a pretty penny. The lot was on the market for a year back in 2006-07, but no one was interested at $700K.

The owner of this property, attorney Daniel Del Collo Jr., doesn’t seem to be in any rush to sell the property. He acquired it back in the 1970’s, along with nearly twenty others within a block of this location, all of which appear to be rentals (and not so well maintained). We suspect that he’d be happy to sell the empty lot at the right price, in case you’re interested. Comps on the other side of 11th St. are in the mid to high $700K’s…
