Over the summer, we told you about two projects in Pennsport that you might miss even if you live in the neighborhood. Taking place on Howard Street, Hancock Street, and teensy Earp Street, it's quite easy to miss even though both projects are now under construction. But like Sauron, our eye sees all. And we love rings. So there.

First, we look to the 1300 blocks of Howard and Hancock Street. As we told you back in June, six homes will be rising here. Three will front Howard Street and three will front Hancock Street. You can see, foundations are in place already on Howard Street, and are in progress on Hancock. No doubt, framing will soon be underway.

In both of the above photos, you can see additional construction in the background. That's an adaptive reuse project at 111-117 Earp St. that we first brought to your attention months ago, In case you don't recall, there will be an architecture office on the 1st and part of the 2nd floor, and an apartment on the rest of the 2nd floor and all of the 3rd floor. Some commenters were curious to see whether this would actually be an adaptive reuse project but it's clear that's exactly what's happening here.

Addition is moving along

Sure, these developments are taking place a little off the beaten path in Pennsport. But if you live in the area, we suggest you check them out in person in a few months, once construction is winding down. We particularly recommend eyeballing the converted warehouse, which promises to be one of the more interesting new buildings in the neighborhood.
