Last fall, we told you about plans for three new homes at 444-48 Fairmount Ave., currently a vacant lot. The interesting twist to this development is that the homes face an inner parking aisle rather than fronting the street. Not that we never see this sort of thing when builders find themselves with irregular lots, but it’s certainly uncommon.

Rising up four stories and pushing farther south than we could capture in the photo, these three homes currently have a bit of a monolithic look to them. Hopefully, the builder will use varying colors or finishes on the backs of the homes to break up the view and create a visual separation between them. On the front side, at least, the homes are gonna look pretty good.
