About a year and a half ago, we told you about plans for the Nicholas and Athena Karabots Pavilion, a $25M expansion coming to the southern side of the Franklin Institute. With a contemporary design that stands in contrast to the existing building, the new structure will house a new neuroscience and brain exhibit, a conference center, additional classroom space, and traveling exhibits.
We were passing by the museum the other day, and noted that the new building is well underway. And while we can’t say this with perfect certainty, it seems like it’s on schedule to open next summer, as expected.
We’ll revisit this project at that time, and hopefully get a tour before it opens to the public!
