Last summer, when we last checked in on 2116 Chestnut Street, the new building had grown to about ten stories. Over the last year or so, the 34-story building that replaced the modernist Sidney Hillman Medical Center has grown to full size, with the building now fully enclosed by shiny glass.

Currently, the 309-unit building is hitting the home stretch. According to its Facebook page, residential units are being shown to potential tenants and the fitness center was recently completed. The building should be open for business in the next couple of months, with the commercial spaces ostensibly coming online after the apartments. Has anyone out there heard anything about what could be opening here?
