Step into Halloween and you will not regret your venture into this gallery of jewels and custom-crafted pendants. The majority of pedestrians simply stroll by this unassuming storefront at 1329 Pine St. without noticing the small sign on the doorway that instructs visitors to ring the gothic door bell (only once!) to be let in. The business has no signage, website or marketing material; they do have a basic Facebook profile, but primarily the business relies on word-of-mouth to provide original pieces for those seeking specialty gifts.

The store

Their only signage

Henri David, both store owner and jewelry designer, has made this multilevel space into one that in-the-know locals swear by. The jeweler lets quality guide his business, which has a reputation for being one of Philadelphia’s hidden gems. (Get it, gems?)

A blurry interior shot. Give us a break, it's dark in there.

And another

The shop is best known for working with couples to designing engagement rings, its variety of antiques, and one-of- a-kind pendants for collectors and regular jewelry fans alike. The store is open Tuesdays through Saturdays and as we mentioned, shoppers are only admitted after ringing the bell. Calling the shop, you’ll be greeted with a “treat or treat,” no matter the season.

Truly, Halloween is unlike anything else in Philadelphia. We suggest you check it out… if you dare.
